Designers and florists from GAMMACATERING create entire worlds, bringing stories and fairytale castles to life. After all, we can only create the right atmosphere if our guests feel completely at ease.

Asparagus is made up of 95 percent water. This high water content makes it extremely low in calories, with one kilogram of asparagus containing just 140 kilocalories. It has a detoxifying effect and is rich in dietary fibres, vitamins and minerals. Supermarket shelves are stocked with local asparagus between April and June.

Gardening tip no. 11: appetising asparagus.

Fresh asparagus is firm and cannot be bent; the tips are firmly closed and the trimmed ends are succulent and juicy. If you want to test how fresh your asparagus is, press the trimmed end between your fingers – if liquid seeps from the stalk, it is fresh. Asparagus is best consumed immediately after harvesting, but can also be wrapped in a damp cloth and stored in the refrigerator. This will keep it fresh for two to three days.
